What is Tsumamaki?

Tsumamaki is the traditional Japanese art of wrapping the hilt of a katana with cord or leather. It is not only decorative, but also strengthens durability and grip. For samurai, the sword was considered their soul, and the wrapped hilt symbolized both beauty and practicality.

What is TATE?

TATE is the stage art of choreographed sword fighting, performed in films and theater. It allows actors to create powerful battle scenes without causing harm. By learning stances, movements, and timing, you will experience a unique blend of samurai spirit and Japanese performing arts.
