Those seeking authentic, hands-on experiences

Under the direct guidance of a highest-ranking Sogetsu master, you will work with carefully prepared flowers and tools. See, touch, and feel the refined sensibility and artistry Japan is known for.

Those looking for a special memory

Your arrangement, shaped by your own sensibility, is a one-of-a-kind creation. Take home not just your work, but also a unique memory of your journey.

What is Ikebana?

Ikebana is not simply flower arrangement.
It is a form of Japanese art rooted in a unique aesthetic that values space, line, and asymmetrical harmony.
By facing nature with a calm mind and placing meaning in every stem and leaf, Ikebana becomes a philosophy of life itself.

In this workshop, guided by a senior master of the Sogetsu School, you will learn the principles of form and beauty while creating your own expression through flowers.

Highlights of the Workshop

🔸Experience the sensibility of a master

Witness a live demonstration by a highest-ranking Sogetsu master—an invaluable opportunity to encounter one of Japan’s finest expressions of beauty.

🔸Express yourself through flowers

Using seasonal plants, freely shape your own emotions and individuality into an arrangement. Each participant creates a one-of-a-kind work, even with the same materials.

🔸Take home your tools and continue abroad

Due to airline restrictions and travel schedules, flowers may not be carried internationally. However, you will take home a ceramic vase, a kenzan (needle holder), and special scissors. This allows you to continue practicing Ikebana at home with local flowers.
